New Blog!

Hey Everyone!
Welcome to my first venture into blogging! I must say coming up with a name for this site was quite the challenge. (though I've known for awhile that creativity isn't one of my more prevalent gifts....) So after putting a lot of thought into it, I thought it only appropriate to explain what it means. As many of you know, my soon-to-be alma mater is in the Hills of the Blue Ridge and no matter where I go in life, I'll always feel like this has been (and in at least some small way will always continue to be) home. I've grown tremendously and seen God move in some truly amazing ways during the time He blessed me with here. This also refers to one of my favorite song lyrics/scripture passages: I will lift my eyes to the Hills where my help comes from. Gods fingerprints are all over His beautiful creation. Its so humbling yet refreshing to remember that the God of the universe who created such majesty, such breathtaking beauty desires a personal relationship with us. Its only in keeping our gaze on Him that we truly gain perspective.
Tiger of course also refers to my home-away-from-home and Lillies refers to grace, peace and new life (as in the easter lily) which have been given to me in the greatest gift I'll never be able to repay: bought by the blood of a beautiful Savior to be a child in His family for eternity.
This blog will be my attempt to (hopefully....time permitting...) keep everyone as updated as I can on what Gods doing with SummerLINK and with the ministries I've been blessed to be a part of in the coming months. We're still about a month from actually getting to project but I wanted to have this set up and ready. I can already see that God's at work preparing me personally for everything He's going to do. I'm definitely seeing firsthand how sufficient His grace is and the necessity of running after Him with reckless abandon fearing nothing and putting full faith in Him.
